1. YACHTS FLYING AN EU COUNTRY FLAG

All boats, passing or permanently berthed in Greece, with a length exceeding 10,00 meters, must apply in the Port Police for a Yacht Trip Log (in Greek known as ΔΕΚΠΑ).

Yacht Trip Log together with the other boat’s papers must be checked / stamped by the Port Police, in every port of call, if it is a passing boat, or monthly if it is a boat permanently staying in Greece.

Crew list with data regarding crew and passengers. Must be deposited to the Port Police together with the other papers of the boat as above. Copy of the crew list must be available on board during journey.
- Insurance is obligatory for yachts as follows:
- Third party liability for injury or death
- Third party liability for material damages
- Sea water pollution Drs.
- Salvage and wrecking
2. YACHTS FLYING A NON EU COUNTRY FLAG

All boats, when entering the first port of visit in Greece must apply in the Customs Office (main port of Corfu) for a Transit Log. This will give you a three months sailing time, which might be extended to six every year, on the condition that the owner/user of the boat is a non EU citizen. If the owner/user is an EU citizen offered sailing time will be reduced to one month. The time that the boat is stored in boundaries in the marina during the winter, does not count as sailing time.

Crew and passengers passports must be checked by the police (main port of Corfu) in the first and the last Greek port of visit.

- Recompensative Charge
Equivalent of 17,00 € per meter of the length of the boat, is due after 3 months of stay within the Greek territorial waters and for any further 3 – month stay. (Exiting from the Greek territorial waters for less than 30 days is not considered affecting the stay shall be extended accordingly). Payment must be arranged in the Port Police. (Switzerland, Norway Iceland and Lichtenstein are excluded from this charge)
N.B. Permanent berth is considered stay at least 1 year period not interrupted by journeys abroad totaling 30 days.
